unexpected death

Paul got an email tonight telling us of Johnathan LaBrayer’s passing. I’m so shocked and sad. We’ve been friends with their family for years. When we lived in Bel Aire Johnathan and his sister would come over occasionally and swim with our children. I think they were a part of the very first house church we ever attended in Wichita. I believe he was only 13 or 14. Queeniepoo let us know he was diagnosed Saturday with a brain tumor and then he died the next day. Please pray for their family. I can’t imagine the grief they must be experiencing.
Oh God grant them peace.
I know that this has hit our family hard. Our older 2 boys were friends with him through school and youth group. It was a total shock. It seems so humanly impossible to have any peace in this time – but through God’s grace may they have some peace.
It didn’t dawn on me until this post that you had lived on the same street (seems long ago). I hope your kids are dealing with this well.
Thursday will be tough…
thank you chief320 – we’ll be praying for your family as well. we didn’t live on the same street but were only a few blocks from each other. Kerry would ride her bike to our house from time to time with one or both of the younger kids.
I’ll get in touch with you when we return from our trip and see whose organizing meals.
