What an amazing day. I finished my morning piano lessons in time to watch the swearing in of Barak Obama.
I was going to call Jill C. and ask how great she was but I was so choked up through most of the proceedings I couldn’t really talk. Even now I get teary thinking about Rick Warren’s prayer (that moved me the most) and how the Nation has embraced the Obama’s so warmly.
sigh…God, bless our nation.

I was glad to be able to be home to watch it, too. I would probably have gotten choked up, too, if I wasn’t having to stop to yell at – I mean, patiently remind, of course – the kids to be quiet so I could enjoy the monumental occasion.
Thank God for DVR – although I really wanted to see and hear it in real time, thus the yelling/reminding.
You totally should have called me.
I don’t know if I could have talked, though, b/c I was all choked up, too.
