And, should everyone agree on a system or people just do what they want?  I’m ready to head out of the country to celebrate this year.  Less stress.

I said I was pretty sure it was a city in Michigan.

He then gave just a slight eye roll and said, “Mom, it’s a band.”

Mini smiled and told me to “go with it.”

She’s either growing up and realizing school isn’t where you go to catch up with all your friends OR she’s been cleverly replaced by an alien look a like.

I was proud of the thoughtfulness no matter who it was sitting beside me.

Paul’s mom and dad put together a photo album for each of the girl cousins to remember this week for years to come.  What a great idea.

I missed mini.  We have one day before she heads to Nebraska for a week with my parents.  sigh.

Yeah, only me.  I can’t even blame my kids.  The cup dropped off the ironing board (ok – I knocked it off) and it landed right side up.  Whew, or so I thought.  The impact actually caused the coffee to leap straight into the air, hit the ceiling and mostly land back in the cup.  ugh.

Which brings me to my next complaint…who the heck invented the popcorn ceiling?

I met Mini coming down the hall. She was washing windows on the other side of the school. She smiled, of course, and thanked me for the socks. She pointed to the office and I looked in to see the 7th grade class all standing there waiting for parents to bring school approved clothing. Most of them just didn’t have the appropriate socks or belts. Mini was actually dressed correctly according to the school policy on uniforms. The teacher wasn’t sure if she needed socks with the type of shoes she had on. She was fine. Oh well.

They aren’t kidding around. I better get to ironing the kids clothes for tomorrow. Wouldn’t want them to have any wrinkles.

The timing could have been better.  Had this come during the week our kids could have had a snow day or two.  I LOVE special occasions when school is canceled and we are home together with no agenda.

We all did nothing today.  OK, Paul got stir crazy and had to “check” the roads.  Spinning out in our cul-de-sac was particularly fun – for him.  Mini had to stop her artistic expressions because she was destroying our nasal passages.  I don’t know exactly what she was doing – it involved modge podge, glue and a candle.  Recipe for disaster and a fire truck, I know.  I told her we’d have to post pone the “project” until we could open windows without freezing us out.  The thing is sitting in our garage right now.  The dog won’t even go in there it stinks sooooo bad!

So, that’s about it.
